Feeding primarily on small aquatic invertebrates, such as worms, insects, and crustaceans, in the wild, they readily adapt to a captive diet of commercial frog pellets, freeze-dried or live bloodworms, brine shrimp, and other protein-rich foods.
Due to their aquatic lifestyle, African dwarf frogs require an aquarium setup with ample swimming space, as well as aquatic plants and hiding spots to mimic their natural habitat. They are sensitive to water quality, necessitating regular maintenance and monitoring of tank parameters to ensure their well-being.
